Navigator: Where Training Meets Conference

“What is Navigator about?” I love this question. It means that people know we don’t do events just for the sake of doing events. We are not an event company. Events are a means to an end and should always have a purpose. Base Camp is about pulling the best/brightest together to put things in motion. Crossroads was about championing direct-sold while everyone talks programmatic. So, what is Navigator about?

Navigator is about the next generation of rock stars and giving them the tools to succeed. This industry has a talent issue, and we aren’t investing in them. 85% of people in our recent event/training survey said they had no plans/budget for training. 90% said the budget for attending events was constrained or had to be specifically justified. That isn’t investing in your people.

So we packed Navigator with as much as possible to make the most of everyone’s time and money.
  • We have a day with author and former ad tech rockstar Joanna Bloor. Joanna gives career and management advice like no other. Joanna changed the trajectory of my career. She’ll change yours.
  • We have inspirational speakers like Jess Sibley, CEO of Time, who will share her thoughts on the future of ad-supported publishing.

So that’s the vision. At a time when the industry needs more people working the problems and creating new opportunities, we’ve stuffed a day full of meaningful conversations and activities so they leave more charged up to tackle 2023.
