December 27: Your cohort is at home. Be there.

Published on December 27, 2022

(you know you work too hard when your family gets you a neon sign for your company for Christmas!)

Not everyone can do it, but if you can do so, spend time at home with your family and friends. That’s the cohort you should be focused on this coming week. Take the time to reset while you can with the people you love.

Thank you everyone for your support and energy in 2022. Here at Beeler.Tech we are grateful to be able to do the work that we do.

We’ve got big plans for the new year, and they start right away. We’re talking automation at CES, and Base Camp in Newport is only a couple of months away. Our Virtual Happy Hour continues on Friday, Jan 6, but you need to re-register. The TD Foundation Gala on Jan 11 is a must-attend event.

We’ve also got a new site, new partners, and new plans for our community.

Take a breath. We’ve stripped down the newsletter so you can go back to your families. Take care.

New Year, New Job?
We’ve been hearing about a lot of open roles across the industry. The Trade DeskEquativ, and Adform have shared that they have vacancies, so if you’re looking for your next job, take a look at their openings and the featured opportunities on our job board.

Featured Job Listings:
Director Media Pricing and Yield Analytics - Expedia Media Solutions
Developer - Redbrick and Rebase

Job Seekers
We're not recruiters, but we help people find their next opportunity. Whether you’re looking for your next job or want to switch industries in general we can help. Send us a short paragraph about yourself and what you are looking for in a career and we’ll feature you in our newsletter and on our careers page.

No reading this week, just a bit of nostalgia thinking about pouring through the Sears and JCPenney catalogs as a kid. Many of you are too young to remember the excitement when these massive tomes of treasure would arrive. We would compile lists of products based on our desired consumption habits and consensually send them to one data controller – Santa. Now, we never knew exactly what he did with this data and in retrospect, he collected data from kids. However, he always delivered. Sometimes a little bit of PII can go a long way.

Those were simpler times. It’s clear that Apple wants to put Santa out of business (then again, I do tend to buy a lot of Apple products each year…hmmm). In the future, I worry that Santa will just have to send random presents out to people since he won’t know anyone’s identity.

It makes you think.
